Inspiration is the fuel you need for a better, happier, and more fulfilled life. But how can you get inspired when your surroundings are boring or stressful?
Let me help out. Here are my 8 suggestions:
1. Go Out in Nature
Unplug yourself from all things digital. Leave your phone and computer at home and just go out. Take a walk in the park, but try not to judge your surroundings. Simply center yourself in the present moment. Notice the birds, the trees, the people, the bees. Surrender to the universe and feel your energy flowing inside.
2. Watch a Good Movie
Hit the top charts in IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes. Browse your favorite genre and listen to your intuition. When you enjoy what you’re watching, the movie’s meaning will get to you easily. Open your mind, sit back and prepare yourself for the journey.
3. Read a Good Book
When was the last time you set aside time to read a book? A whole book in a day? It’s time to immerse yourself in the land of literature. Visit GoodReads and get some inspiration. You can find a good pick from your favorite genre or spice it up a bit and try something different. Sometimes, inspiration comes with the unknown.
4. Listen to Good Music
This is probably the most obvious one, but I wanted to include it in here nevertheless. Music has always been a great source of inspiration for me—and I’m sure you’ve had your love affair with it, too. Find something relaxing (smooth jazz, classical, chill house, etc.), close your eyes and enjoy the ride.
5. Talk to a Friend
When you get too much in your head, it’s good to have a conversation with a bestie. Call a good friend just to say “hi” and let your relationship take it from there. Just listen to them and enjoy what they have to say. I promise you, a flow of gratitude and inspiration will follow.
6. Draw Something
Whether you’re good at drawing or not, it doesn’t matter. The point is to get your creative juices flowing. Sit down with a piece of paper and draw whatever your heart desires. Don’t worry if it doesn’t look good, you’re not doing it to show it to somebody else. You’re simply tapping into your inner creativity, just like you did when you were a child. And let yourself enjoy every second of it!
7. Dance
Play your favorite happy song and start dancing like it’s nobody’s business! Shake that beautiful body of yours, laugh, sing, jump, whatever floats your boat. Stop thinking about what your neighbors will think or how your roommate will react. Surrender to the wonderful experience and, when the music stops, collapse on the floor filled with joy and inspiration.
8. Hit the Gym
The gym is probably the last place you would look for inspiration, right?

Work your butt off, then take a shower and see for yourself if the walk back home is one of the most fulfilling and inspiring experiences in the world. I bet, this whole routine is going to become your next best friend.
Inspiration is not only all around us, it’s also always in us. We just need to learn to listen.
Simply yours,
